The motion

That the Parliament applauds what it sees as a selfless action of the Lord Provost of Aberdeen, Dr David Cameron, who has recently given his 50th donation of blood; notes that the Lord Provost started donating blood in September 1970 and regularly donated every six months until late 1983; understands that the Lord Provost returned to regularly donating blood again in 2013 after attending a Blood Donors’ Award Ceremony; further understands that due to current events, blood supplies hit a critical low in 2022, making it all the more vital, it believes, for others to follow the lead of Aberdeen’s Civic Head to restart donating blood and saving lives; commends the Lord Provost for his continued contributions to NHS blood supplies, and wishes him and all other blood donors all the best.
