The Wee Mobile Foodbank

The motion

That the Parliament commends The Wee Foodbank and its volunteers for their continued efforts across Lanarkshire and, in particular, Motherwell; understands that the service provides, on average, over 80 monthly emergency food parcels to those in need, ensuring balanced, nutritious and culturally appropriate diets; further understands that reports from the founders state that the cost of living crisis has resulted in increased numbers of people using its service; welcomes what it considers the many new Social Security Scotland benefits that have been rolled out across Scotland, targeting those who need them the most, and wishes The Wee Foodbank and its volunteers all the best for their future projects.
