Murdoch Allan Celebrate 20th Anniversary of Hatton Biscuit Factory Site
The motion
That the Parliament notes that 2022 is the 20th anniversary of north east craft bakers Murdoch Allan and Son taking over the former United Biscuits factory in Hatton, Aberdeenshire; recalls that the factory was earmarked for closure by United Biscuits; believes that this would have been a devastating blow to the community of Hatton; understands that Murdoch Allan and Son stepped in and bought over the factory, which represented a significant expansion of this local business; congratulates the company on its 20th anniversary operating from the Hatton site, and wishes Paul Allan and the staff continued success going forward.
