Greenock Health and Care Centre, Best Collaborative Arts Project
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the news that Greenock Health and Care Centre’s collection of artistic creations and designs has been named the Best Collaborative Arts Project at the Building Better Healthcare Awards; notes that the award recognises a collaborative and participatory arts project that has had a measurable positive impact on the patient and staff experience within a healthcare environment; understands that artist, Stephen Hurrel, has been curator and planner on the Found, Fragmented and Forgotten public art project at the new health centre since 2016, which saw artists from across Inverclyde and beyond come together and create pieces reflecting Inverclyde’s history, culture and natural environment and on the theme of water, lochs, rivers and the sea, and thanks all the artists for their involvement in this award-winning project.
