Congratulating the Clippens Inn on Winning Dram Community Pub of the Year

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates the Clippens Inn on winning the Dram Community Pub of the Year award at the 2022 Scottish Pub and Bar Awards; understands that the judges were looking for venues that support local projects, such as charity events, or those that use local artists or suppliers, or get involved in local sports teams or musicians; believes that the Inn is an invaluable asset to the community, sponsoring three football teams and a few tournaments through the Woodlands bowling club, as well as donating to a local school for children with special educational needs through running a selection box scheme around Christmas time; recognises that the pub also won the Molson Coors Best Pub award earlier in 2022 in a separate competition, and commends all the work that the owners Jackie and Brian Gilmour, as well as Janet Montgomery, the Clippens Inn manager, and the rest of the staff have done in aiding their local community.
