Kirkcaldy Acoustic Music Club Nominated for Club of the Year at the Scots Trad Music Awards 2022

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Kirkcaldy Acoustic Music Club on being nominated for Club of the Year at the Scots Trad Music Awards 2022; understands that, after a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the club relaunched with a sold-out concert in June 2022 and going on to host acclaimed acts such as Salt House, Findlay Napier, Catriona Mckay, Chris Stout, and the late Rab Noakes; further understands that the club is run by a team of dedicated volunteers from its base in the Polish Ex-Servicemen's Club in Kirkcaldy who create a unique, supportive and lively atmosphere, providing a great experience for touring musicians and visitors alike; commends Kirkcaldy Acoustic Music Club for its passion for keeping traditional music alive, and wishes it all the best in the awards and all of its future endeavours.
