Cambusnethan Miners Welfare and Charitable Society, Veterans Charity Event

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Cambusnethan Miners Welfare and Charitable Society on raising £3,200 for Erskine Hospital and Help the Heroes: understands that Cambusnethan Miners Committee recently visited the Erskine Hospital, where they handed over a cheque for £1,600; notes that Erskine Hospital is Scotland’s largest veterans charity, established in 1916, caring for nearly 1,000 residents each year; further notes that Help the Heroes is also a leading armed forces and veterans charity, providing support to veterans and their families; welcomes what it sees as the continued dedication and commitment of the staff and volunteers from Erskine Hospital and Help the Heroes, and wishes everyone at Cambusnethan Miners Welfare and Charitable Society all the best for the future.
