Sportscotland - New Hallhill Pump Track
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates East Lothian Council for the award of £50,000 from sportscotland; understands that this funding will be used as an investment towards a new cycle pump track at Hallhill in Dunbar; notes that the new community pump track which will be free for use and accessible to all; understands that, following community consultation, priority will be given to creating opportunities for women and girls, young people from disadvantaged backgrounds and care-experienced pupils from the local area, and believes that, through good links with Active Schools and other groups, the potential impact, not only for cycling, but also for the wider health and wellbeing of the local community, is significant.
