Michael Eardley to Represent Scotland at FootGolf World Cup

The motion

That the Parliament wishes Michael Eardley all the best as he prepares to represent Scotland at the FootGolf World Cup 2023, in Orlando, Florida; recognises that Michael, 36, from Greenock, will be part of the first-ever Scottish side to play at a FootGolf world cup; notes that since taking up the sport four years ago, Michael had travelled across the globe playing in tours, and visiting courses in places like France, Switzerland and Holland; understands that the world cup will be the biggest tournament that Michael has played in, with around 500 players from 50 different countries taking part; appreciates that Michael was one of nine individuals who formed the FootGolf Association of Scotland three years ago, and believes that Scotland’s representation at the world cup in 2023 highlights how much the sport has grown since then; commends Michael for his efforts to grow the sport in Scotland, and wishes him and his teammates all the best next year at the FootGolf World Cup.
