AF Association Hosts Global AF Aware Week
The motion
That the Parliament recognises that from 21 to 27 November 2022, AF Association hosts Global AF Aware Week (GAFAW) to raise awareness of atrial fibrillation (AF); notes what it sees as the importance of raising awareness of AF to identify the undiagnosed person living with AF and therefore save devastating consequences of AF related stroke; understands that the Stroke Association is supporting the AF Association to help the half a million people in the UK with undiagnosed atrial fibrillation, and encourages all to regularly check their pulse for irregularities.
