Uddingston-based Caledonian Plywood Company Named Timber Supplier of the Year

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Caledonian Plywood Company on receiving an award for Timber Supplier of the Year 2022 in the National Buying Group LLP (NBG) annual awards, as well as previously winning the Panels Trader of the Year 2022 at the Timber Trade Awards; understands that the NBG is a UK wide collaborative buying group of more than 80 independent merchants and Caledonian Plywood Company’s award followed an expert evaluation of its service, reliability, quality and overall commercial strategy; notes that the Caledonian Plywood Company was established in 1990 and has grown steadily to become one of the UK's leading plywood suppliers, offering national distribution of its plywood, sheet materials, fire doors and door sets through its head office in Uddingston and operations in Leeds and Tilbury; understands that Caledonian Plywood Company is a member of the Timber Trade Federation and was one of the earliest signatories of the Federation’s Responsible Purchasing Policy, which ensures that all purchases are responsibly sourced, with full traceability of each piece of plywood back to the tree it came from, and wishes Caledonian Plywood Company ongoing commercial success.
