Milngavie and Bearsden Knit for Peace
The motion
That the Parliament recognises the work of the kind-hearted knitting group, Milngavie and Bearden's Knit for Peace, for charity; understands that the group of local knitters has been meeting every week since May 2019; applauds Anne Gilmore for setting up the group with the aim of using crafting skills to support those who are most in need; celebrates the group for its various projects, which see TV blankets, knitwear and baby shawls distributed across Glasgow, and East and West Dunbartonshire to children, older people and vulnerable families, and encourages further wool donations from the public, which the knitters graciously welcome.
