NHS Golden Jubilee in Clydebank Awarded Stewardship Star Award for World Antimicrobial Awareness Week

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates the clinical pharmacists at the NHS Golden Jubilee Hospital in Clydebank for being awarded a Stewardship Star Award for World Antimicrobial Awareness Week by the Association of Scottish Antimicrobial Pharmacists; understands that the ward pharmacist staff have been working with clinical teams to help deliver good antimicrobial stewardship for patients by promoting intravenous (IV) to oral switch, regularly reviewing antimicrobials, and ensuring clear documentation and appropriate duration of oral therapy; further understands that they also highlight patients with complex issues so that antimicrobial pharmacist reviews can help ensure that they have an optimal treatment plan in place; applauds the staff for this achievement, and thanks them for their continuous hard work.
