Lodged by Neil Bibby (Scottish Labour) Standard Motion 17 supporters

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates a group of 16 fundraisers from the Catherine McEwan Foundation on walking the West Highland Way to raise money for those affected by Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis; recognises that the charity was created in 2003 in honour of Catherine McEwan, who had Crohn's disease, and who died in 1992 at the age of 37, by her son Derek; understands that Derek wants to help every member of the family, not just the patient affected, and that the foundation has taken on many previous challenges to raise money for this cause; further understands that, while undertaking this challenge, the team was surprised by Paolo Nutini on reaching the top of Conic Hill, and that Paolo is a long-time supporter of the foundation, and commends the team on this fantastic achievement.
