Clydebank Youngster Wins Gold at Scottish National Championships for Judo

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates 11-year-old Jack Docherty from Clydebank on winning the top gold medal in his age group at the Scottish National Championships for Judo on 6 November 2022; understands that Jack has been competing in judo since he was six years old after a local club visited his primary school, which led to him joining the Antonine Club in Duntocher; notes that Jack now trains with various clubs across Clydebank and Glasgow up to five times a week, with his family and friends always commending his dedication to the sport; understands that Jack has big dreams to become a Commonwealth and Olympic Champion, and also wants to run his own judo club in the future; applauds Jack for this incredible achievement, and wishes him all the best for the future.
