West Dunbartonshire Council Signs the Pledge on Workplace Equality

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates West Dunbartonshire Council for signing the pledge on workplace equality; notes that the nationwide campaign is aimed at tackling violence against women and encouraging more diversity in the workforce; acknowledges that the Equally Safe at Work pledge, run by charity, Close the Gap, will see the Council engage in a variety of activities over the next 18 months, including creating policies and procedures to help progress sex and gender equality in the workplace, and providing better support for victim-survivors of violence against women, and thanks the Council for making the safety of employees a priority and ensuring they are supported within the workplace.
