Tarbert Ferry Terminal Wins 2022 Scottish Civil Engineering Marine Infrastructure Award

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Caledonian Maritime Assets Ltd, RJ McLeod (Contractors) Ltd, Wallace Stone, and AFFRIC Ltd on winning the 2022 Scottish Civil Engineering Marine Infrastructure Award at the Scottish Civil Engineering Awards on 17 November; understands that the awards are managed by the Scottish Civil Engineering Contractors Association; notes that the award has been given for the improvements to the ferry terminal at Tarbert on the Isle of Harris before the full project has been completed; further notes that phase one of the multi-million-pound upgrade was completed in February 2022, and that the work included a new pier, fendering system, dredging and increased marshalling area, which was completed while the lifeline ferry terminal remained operational, and understands that phase two of the project to deliver the new terminal building is currently underway, with completion anticipated later in 2022.
