Inaugural Scottish Minorities Football Cup
The motion
That the Parliament acknowledges the inaugural Scottish Minorities Football Cup (SMFC); notes that the tournament consisted of six teams hosted by Oceanic Sports in partnership with The Well Foundation on the 20 November 2022 at Dalziel Park in Motherwell; further notes that G-Town were crowned winners after defeating ATM, with the Well Foundation team making it to the semi-finals, narrowly being defeated on penalties; notes the SMFC hopes for it to become an annual event, where local teams can get involved bringing ethnic minority communities together and introducing new sporting activities, and wishes everyone who participated all the best for the future.
