Andrew Horne Takes Silver at SkillELECTRIC Competition

The motion

That the Parliament celebrates the success of Andrew Horne in claiming second place at 2022’s SkillELECTRIC competition; recognises that the apprentice from Lewis, who is trained by Lews Castle College and SECTT, impressed the judges at the annual competition, which sees electrical students and apprentices from across the UK compete for the title; understands that competitors are judged on their performance in areas such as measuring accuracy, testing and safe working practices, and electrical terminations; appreciates that Andrew was described as an example for other trainees to follow; congratulates Andrew on his fantastic achievement, and wishes him all the best going forward in his career.
