Motherwell and District Women's Aid Awarded National Lottery Community Grant

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Motherwell and District Women's Aid (MDWA) on receiving a £8,000 grant from the National Lottery Community Grant; understands that the grant will allow for a robust external evaluation of its service, proving an insight into the impact and areas for service improvement; welcomes what it sees as a much needed service provided by MDWA for a safe refuge for women and children at risk of domestic violence, confidential support and advice, temporary accommodation, help and support for a better future; recognises what it sees as the role that the National Lottery plays in supporting good causes across the country, and wishes the MDWA all the best for its future projects.
