Freedom of Argyll for Donald MacMillan BEM
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates former councillor Donald MacMillan BEM on being presented with the Freedom of Argyll; understands that Donald was an elected independent councillor in Argyll and Bute since his first election in 1984; further understands that Donald was often cited as one of Scotland’s oldest and longest-serving elected members as he represented his constituents in the Mid Argyll Ward until May 2022, aged 94; believes that Donald has had a significant impact on the communities he has represented, and commends Argyll and Bute Council for presenting him with this award.
