Renfrewshire Toy Bank

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Renfrewshire Toy Bank for its ongoing support to children and families in Renfrewshire; notes that the Toy Bank was founded by Lauren Roy-Sutherland in 2018, primarily as the Renfrewshire Christmas Toy Bank, but expanded in 2021 to operate all year round; understands that the Renfrewshire Toy Bank now provides gifts to children from lower income backgrounds for annual events such as birthdays and Halloween; further understands that the toy bank supported almost 8,000 children last year but that the demand for their work is increasing due to the cost of living crisis, and commends Lauren and all the other volunteers who provide an invaluable service to families across Renfrewshire.
