Falkirk Junior Bike Club Wins Scottish Sports Award

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Falkirk Junior Bike Club (FJBC) for winning the Club Sport Award at the Scottish Sports Awards 2022, which was held on 7 November 2022; notes that FJBC, which was established in 2016, delivers inclusive, accessible and fun cycling sessions that offer opportunities across participation, performance and grass roots events; understands that there are approximately 150 riders between the age of four and 16 years old; further understands that FCJB have developed a strong young leaders programme where they now have 22 young coaches aged between 14 and 21 in which the young coaches lead weekly sessions, as well as local community outreach programmes, and congratulates the team at the club and its members, who make it such a special club.
