Lifesaving Defibrillator Installed in Hawthorn Housing Cooperative Possilpark

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Hawthorn Housing Cooperative in Possilpark on receiving a defibrillator, supplied in partnership with the Royal Bank of Scotland, which has worked with first-aid charity, St Andrew's, to select places across the UK to ensure that they are there for those most in need; notes that after installation St Andrew’s will be delivering CPR classes and defibrillator awareness sessions for all Hawthorne residents and staff; considers that the training sessions will be vital to building up confidence and skills in saving a life, and believes that the provision and installation of the defibrillator within Hawthorn Housing Cooperative community will be a huge step in ensuring all staff and residents have the best possible chance of survival following a cardiac arrest.
