Falkirk Rugby Football and Sports Club Receives Direct Funding from UK Government

That the Parliament recognises that Falkirk Rugby Football and Sports Club has received £115,000 of direct investment from the UK Government, which it believes will transform dilapidated changing pavilions into modern, inclusive, multi-purpose facilities in a boost for local girls' and women's teams; understands that this is just one of four Scottish projects being directly financed by the UK Government in the second round of the Community Ownership Fund, totalling an investment of £800,000; further understands that the Community Ownership Fund supports community groups to take ownership of local assets that have fallen into disrepair, or are under threat of closure, and give them a new lease of life; believes that this empowers community and promotes sustainable economic growth, and recognises what it considers the important work carried out by Falkirk Rugby Football and Sports Club which serves the local community in promoting both physical and mental health.
