Friends of Inchyra Park and Let’s Get Grangemouth Clean Sweep up at Keep Scotland Beautiful: It’s Your Neighbourhood Awards 2022

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Friends of Inchyra Park and Let’s Get Grangemouth Clean (locally known as the GLitter Team) for their success in the Keep Scotland Beautiful: It’s Your Neighbourhood Awards 2022; understands that they were awarded certificates in the categories Thriving and Advancing respectively; commends the partnership working between these two Grangemouth-based groups; notes the support provided to these groups by Falkirk Council, including grant funding from their Environmental Improvement Fund to purchase a community trailer for litter picks; further notes that the Keep Scotland Beautiful awards took place on 8 December 2022 to recognise the valuable contribution of many community groups across the country working to make their local areas a cleaner, greener and more sustainable place; commends this work and expresses gratitude for the contribution that these groups and many others make to their communities; recognises, in particular, the vital dedication of local volunteers; congratulates Friends of Inchyra Park and Let’s Get Grangemouth Clean on their success, and wishes them all the best for the future.
