Lanarkshire Pupils Ace Swimming Trials and Take Part in STEM Subjects Showcase at New College Lanarkshire

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates a group of seven pupils from Buchanan High School, Coatbridge, on bringing home an array of medals at the West of Scotland time trials swimming event; notes that the swimming event was run by Disability Sport Glasgow and was held at Dollan Aqua Centre in East Kilbride; further notes that other pupils of Buchanan High School, Coatbridge, were invited along to New College Lanarkshire’s campus to take part in their event, STEM; understands that STEM is created to engage with students through science, technology, engineering and mathematics; recognises that the pupils got to speak with a wide range of employers and engage in a number of practical workshops, and understands that this event gave the students a lot to think about in terms of possible future education and employment.
