Commending the Scran Van

The motion

That the Parliament commends Kevin Harrison and Lee Cameron on using the Scran Van to provide meals to the most vulnerable in Inverclyde; understands that the pair are offering cooked dinners free of charge every Monday between 1.30 and 7.00 pm, as well as opening on Christmas day to provide a festive meal to those who would otherwise not be able to afford it; understands that Kevin himself has been homeless previously and knows how important extending an olive branch can be when people are struggling for money and a roof over their head; further understands that both want to use their small business to give back to the community, after Kevin received help from the community when he himself was struggling, and commends both Kevin and Lee’s efforts to help relieve the effects of the cost of living crises in their community.
