Congratulating Dunfermline Butcher, Mark Boyd, on Receiving National Industry Award
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Mark Boyd of Quality Butchers in Dunfermline on receiving an Extra Mile Award from Scottish Craft Butchers recently; notes that Mark has achieved his Level 1 in British Sign Language qualification and is working towards Level 2, and that he received the award following a competition with many other nominees; understands that Mark’s efforts have made shopping in Quality Butchers more accessible to those who have difficulty in communication and has helped to break down barriers for the deaf community in the Dunfermline area; believes that Mark’s endeavours reflect the ethos of independent local retailers who make that extra effort to care for their customers and that he is a credit to his workplace and profession, and extends its very best wishes to Mark, and for continued success into the future.
