Johnstone Morrisons Staff Launch Community Giving Tree Appeal 2022
The motion
That the Parliament understands that staff members of Johnstone Morrisons have launched their annual Community Giving Tree appeal; further understands that the 2022 appeal, will aim to raise funds for Café Solace, a community café in Kilbirnie, that offers support to people battling alcohol and drug addiction; notes that the appeal’s funds are raised by customers purchasing a bauble at the entrance of the shop; commends the community champion of the Morrison’s Store, Julie Scott, for choosing Café Solace as the recipient of the 2022 appeal; further commends Julie Scott for her choice, as it was based on the recognition that Cafe Solace would need extra support in delivering its service due to the rise in the cost of living, and celebrates that local community initiatives such as the Community Tree appeal represents the very best charitable aspects of the festive season.
