Motion · S6M-07380 · 22 Dec 2022
Jeremy Clarkson and The Scottish Sun
The motion
That the Parliament condemns The Scottish Sun for publishing what it considers a deeply misogynistic article by Jeremy Clarkson regarding Meghan Markle; believes that the article is abhorrent and incites hatred and violence against women, and seeks to normalise such views and behaviours towards women; considers that such attitudes are at odds with the kind, respectful and tolerant society that it believes people are trying to build in Scotland, and calls for an end to what it sees as all hate speech against women and an end to the British media publishing articles of this nature.
