Ayrshire Artist Invests in Specialised Dyslexia School in Kenya

The motion

That the Parliament commends Turnberry’s Mark Stoddart for his contribution to the building of a specialised dyslexia school in Nairobi, Kenya; notes that Mark is an artist specialising in sculpting and is a proud supporter of Dyslexia Scotland, having dyslexia himself; understands that Mark raised the funds by raffling one of his rare and highly collectable coffee tables; believes that the total donated to the Kenya Dyslexia Organisation was $13,000; considers this to be an incredible contribution to the local community that will make a significant positive difference to the 216 students of the current Rare Gem Talent School; understands that Mark also has plans to fund a dyslexia school in Bali, Indonesia, and wishes Mark all the best with his future endeavours.
