The motion
That the Parliament commends the work of KLSB Community Group in helping vulnerable residents across the wider Larbert and Stenhousemuir area; recognises its recent achievement in opening the Point Community Café, Stenhousemuir, and the enjoyment its Seniors Lunch Club has brought; notes the recent success of its third annual Christmas toy appeal, raising over £2,000 to purchase Christmas presents for struggling local families; further notes the many excellent examples of partnership working with local agencies and groups, including Larbert High School and cluster primaries, Larbert Rotary Club, Stenhousemuir FC and Falkirk Council; commends its continued commitment to tackling food poverty in the local area through the operation of its food pantry; understands that KLSB’s activities also extend to maintaining local flower beds and green spaces, including community litter picking, from which the organisation originally developed; congratulates and expresses thanks to all KLSB volunteers and, in particular, notes the outstanding contribution of Sheona and John McMorran in driving forward their vision for the community group, and wishes them every success in the future as they continue to develop their plans to help others across the wider Larbert and Stenhousemuir area.
