Glasgow Named 92nd Best City in the World for 2023
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes news that Glasgow has been named the 92nd best city in the world for 2023 in a list of one hundred cities compiled by real estate and tourism firm, Resonance; notes that Glasgow was the only Scottish city to appear on the list, which takes into account six different factors, including place, product, programming, people, prosperity and promotion; welcomes the recognition that, according to the ranking, Glasgow is an attractive city for entrepreneurs, is the sixth most educated city on the planet, and has a thriving cultural and music scene, having been named a UNESCO City of Music in 2008, and looks forward to promoting Glasgow in the years ahead as a destination of international note.
