Commending Lucas Webster

The motion

That the Parliament commends Lucas Webster on his efforts in raising £450 to helpthose with kidney failure, despite experiencing kidney failure himself;understands that due to Lucas’ long stays at the Queen Elizabeth UniversityHospital as an inpatient and recipient of dialysis, he knows the challengesfacing those living with kidney failure and that those experiences are whatinspired him to launch an online campaign to raise money for, and awareness ofrenal failure; further understands that the money will help those with renalfailure taken into hospital in an emergency to buy essential items they mayneed in hospital such as pyjamas and toiletries; notes that Lucas has now beenwaiting for a kidney transplant for three years and currently undergoes six hourlydialyses sessions three times a week in order to keep his kidneys functioning;commends him once again on his fundraising achievements, and wishes him thebest of luck in receiving a kidney transplant.
