The motion

That the Parliament recognises the work of International Network of Street Papers (INSP), which has been a recognised charity in Scotland for almost 30 years; notes the reach of the charity, which sends out news features across the world to 93 papers in 35 different countries, with a small team of just five staff members based in Glasgow; commends the commitment of the network to challenge what it sees as misconceptions and stigma around homelessness and poverty, by championing lived experience in journalism; considers the role of the network in ensuring that journalism amplifies the voices of those who are most vulnerable, and believes that organisations like INSP need secure and consistent resource to support their work in maintaining the integrity of printed journalism.
