Falkirk Finalists at The Great British Wedding Awards 2022

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Daniel Sweeney, also known as Piper Dan, and celebrant, Craig Flowers, on being named finalists in The Great British Wedding Awards 2022; understands that 2022 saw the first ever Great British Wedding Awards, an event that is hosted by Creative Oceanic with the aim of celebrating the great providers across the wedding services industry; notes that Creative Oceanic is also the organisation that brought The Wedding Awards to Scotland, England, Wales and Northern Ireland; commends Daniel Sweeney for his contribution to pipe band music, having played the bagpipes since age 10; notes that Piper Dan has honed his skill to facilitate his success; understands that Craig Flowers has been a full-time celebrant since 2010, taking great pride in providing an individualised service for a variety of events, which have earned him nominations and awards, including being named Scottish Celebrant of the Year 2022; recognises that alongside Daniel and Craig, two other nominees from the Falkirk District, Tommy Hamilton Photography and Invitations Plus by McGuire were also named as finalists at The Great British Wedding Awards 2022; congratulates Daniel and Craig on the recognition their work and contributions have received by the Great British Wedding Awards, and wishes them all the best for the future.
