First Community Car Share Club Launched in Clydebank

The motion

That the Parliament celebrates the launch of the Co Wheels Car Club electric car share facility in Clydebank; understands that this complements the nearby Car Club facilities in Glasgow; further understand that people can become members and access any of the 650 cars across the UK, including in Orkney, Aberdeen, Dundee, and Edinburgh; notes that car clubs aim to help reduce car ownership and are now a part of the Scottish Government’s strategy for helping to reduce Scotland's carbon emissions and tackle climate change; understands that every car club vehicle helps to remove 17 private vehicles from roads in Scotland, and looks forward to seeing how the initiative progresses.
