Launch of the City of Glasgow College and IPPR Report

That the Parliament welcomes the launch of the report produced for City of Glasgow College by the Institute for Public Policy Research (IPPR) Scotland, A Baseline Social Value Assessment for City of Glasgow College; congratulates both City of Glasgow College and IPPR Scotland for their hard work on this report; recognises what it sees as the critical contribution that City of Glasgow College makes to communities in Glasgow beyond its fundamental academic role; further recognises what it considers to be the positive social and economic impacts that the College has, such as re- and up-skilling the workforce and supporting economic transformation and social renewal in Glasgow, and welcomes the report as, it considers, an important tool that captures the wider social impact of colleges and progress relating to health, environment, inclusion, community engagement and international reach.
