Asda Foundation Grants to Coatbridge Charities

The motion

That the Parliament welcomes the awarding of funds from the Asda Foundation to Coatbridge charities; recognises that Kirkwood Craft Group/Classes and the Albion Rovers Community Trust were awarded £500 and £519 respectively; notes that this funding is from the Empowering Local Communities grant, intended to assist with the rising cost of living and support groups helping refugees; recognises that, through the U18 Better Starts grant, Albion Rovers in the Community 2007 was awarded £527; notes that this grant is focused on enabling the delivery of local initiatives to improve the lives of children and young people; recognises that, in 2022, the Asda Foundation donated over £800,000 to good causes and community projects in Scotland; commends its investment in helping the wider community, and wishes well to all those involved.
