Fiona Leathers Named "Change-maker" by Westport Veterinary Clinic
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Fiona Leathers on being named a "change-maker" by Westport Veterinary Clinic for both her contributions to her field and the passion with which she delivers her care; understands that Fiona is a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN), a Practice Manager and a qualified Clinical Coach, giving her responsibility for the training of Student Veterinary Nurses; notes that Fiona won the Blue Cross Veterinary Nurse of the Year title in 2017; recognises that Fiona is the named Scottish "Bandaging Angel" for the Veterinary Wound Library, which involves travelling around the country sharing her knowledge and skills with other practices with regards to all aspects of wound care and bandaging techniques; understands that Fiona is also the first RVN to hold the position of chairperson for the Vet Trust board of directors, and congratulates her once again for the contributions that she has made to veterinary care.
