Scottish Community Safety Network’s Mark McCall Home Safety Fund
The motion
That the Parliament recognises the Scottish Community Safety Network (SCSN) on the launch of the Mark McCall Home Safety Fund, created in partnership with RoSPA and Fife Council; understands that £3,000 is available for the winning applicant for projects focussing on product provision and frontline services for children under five; further understands that the fund is for any organisation delivering home safety outcomes for children anywhere in Scotland; notes that Mark McCall was a former Chair Person of the SCSN Board of Directors, and understands that he played an instrumental role in the evolution and development of the organisation, as well as formerly serving as Service Manager for Housing at Fife Council; further notes with sadness that Mark tragically passed away in 2021 after a short but courageous battle with cancer, and recognises his passion and dedication towards child safety; commends SCSN, RoSPA and Fife Council on their newly launched project, and wishes them all the best for the future.
