Congratulations to East Kilbride’s Record-breaking Athlete, Angus Wilkinson
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates East Kilbride’s Angus Wilkinson, from Duncanrig Secondary School, on winning gold at the 2022-23 Scottish Schools’ Athletic Association Indoor Track and Field Championships at the Emirates Arena, Glasgow, in February 2023; understands that Angus broke the Scottish and British School Indoor Athletic Championship 1,500m record, with his time of 4:05.51; commends Angus for his track record, which, it understands, includes smashing East Kilbride Athletic Club’s 1,500m record that had stood for 24 years and breaking the Scottish Under-15s 3,000m record in 2022, and wishes Angus all the very best for the future.
