Falkirk Communities Benefit from National Lottery Funding

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates two local Falkirk groups on successfully securing National Lottery Funding for projects, which, it understands, benefit constituents throughout the Falkirk district; understands that Al Masaar SCIO received funding of £10,000 to support a programme of activities for people from ethnic minority backgrounds across the Falkirk and Stirling districts; further understands that the Falkirk group of Scottish Seniors Computer Clubs received funding of £3,133 to facilitate the running of the club’s weekly IT classes for older people throughout Falkirk; recognises the positive impact that National Lottery Funding has on such community groups through facilitating the provision of crucial support within local communities, all made possible by players of the National Lottery; congratulates Al Masaar SCIO and the Falkirk group of Scottish Seniors Computer Clubs on the grants they were awarded to further benefit their local communities, and looks forward to seeing the development of the projects as a result of this funding.
