Celebrating Accessible Club Nights in Ayrshire
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the news that the Ayr nightclub, Venue38, is relaunching its Seen and Unseen Disabilities nights, after a three-year break due to the COVID-19 pandemic; notes that Venue38 is a fully accessible nightclub that welcomes people with disabilities, their carers, and anyone else who would like to participate; recognises what it sees as the importance of accessible and inclusive clubs and bars across the Scottish hospitality industry; believes that Venue38 is a shining example of the kind of inclusive engagement that should be replicated across the country, and commends the work of dM2, a friendship and social events project in Ayrshire run for people with learning disabilities, for its vital work on this project.
