Tartan Tails Flyball Juniors at Crufts

The motion

That the Parliament sends its best wishes to Tartan Tails as the team prepares to compete at Crufts in March 2023; understands that the team, which consists of Angus-based sisters, Sophia and Jessica Herald, will fly the flag for Scotland after qualifying for the Young Kennel Club flyball final, an event for which they set the world record during their last appearance at Crufts in 2020; notes that the contingent are part of the Star Paws flyball team, which is an Angus-based flyball team; understands that flyball is a head-to-head relay race involving four dogs, racing over a 55-foot course containing four hurdles to trigger a ball release and return across the gates, with the straight knockout competition being held on 11 March 2023; notes that the five dogs who will make up the team are border collies, Yoda and Noah, who were in the team in 2020, and border collies Yeager and Buck, as well as black labrador, Austin, who will all be making their debuts, and wishes all competitors the best of luck for the competition.
