JP Pozzi Named Fed Awards Newsagent of the Year 2023

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates David Robertson on winning Newsagent of the Year at the Fed Awards (Federation of Independent Retailers) for his newsagent, JP Pozzi, in Buckie; notes that the awards ceremony took place in London on 24 January 2023; understands that David won a commendation for his shop’s "easy to shop" range, and his constantly evolving delivery service, which has expanded to cover outlying country areas including Portgordon, Portessie, and Cullen; notes the challenges faced by the business during the COVID-19 pandemic, which led to David simplifying his offerings, focusing on specific volumes and bestselling titles; understands that the business was successful in keeping daily sales around pre-pandemic levels, and wishes David, JP Pozzi, and its staff all the best for the future.
