Aberdeenshire-based Company among the Next Generation of Energy Innovators
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the five Scottish projects that are among the next generation of energy innovators, including the Aberdeenshire-based company, Clearwell Technology Ltd, which will receive a share of £24 million of funding from the UK Government to develop new environmental technologies, build home-grown energy supplies and help prepare for a net zero future; notes that Clearwell Technology has received funding to design a thermal pipe milling tool for well plugging that could transform how oil and gas wells are sustainably decommissioned; welcomes the move, which it believes will allow the industry to help play its part by delivering innovative solutions to help decarbonise Scotland’s industry, create hundreds of green jobs and increase private sector investment, and wishes the five Scottish projects chosen all the best for the future as they aim to help Scotland, and the rest of the UK, to meet their net zero ambitions by 2050.
