Street Soccer Scotland Initiative Launched in Stenhousemuir

The motion

That the Parliament commends Street Soccer Scotland for the launch of its new football-themed personal development programmes in Stenhousemuir; understands that the initiative will provide a range of services and activities aimed at building self-confidence and self-esteem for socially excluded adults and young people; further understands that the scheme will also tackle issues such as homelessness, addiction, mental health and long-term unemployment by offering a five-week SCQF course, through which applicants will learn new coaching skills, along with football event management, as well as opportunities to overcome obstacles and achieve goals; understands that participants will gain a Level 4 SCQF certificate to recognise the knowledge and skills they have gained, and wishes the providers and participants every success with the programme.
