Abby Cook Named 42nd Blue Peter Presenter
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Abby Cook, from Falkirk, on being named the newest presenter of Blue Peter; recognises what it sees as Abby’s achievement in being selected as the 42nd presenter of the long-running and popular BBC programme; understands that Abby will make her debut and join two other hosts of Blue Peter, alongside Henry the Dog, on 10 March 2023; further understands that Abby, an alumni of Forth Valley College, has previously worked with Forth Valley Disability Sport in supporting disabled and non-disabled young people to be active, and has also worked for Scottish Disability Sport as a mental health project administrator; acknowledges that Abby, a keen wheelchair racer, trains twice weekly at the Forth Valley Flyers athletics club; again congratulates Abby on being selected as the 42nd Blue Peter presenter, and wishes her every success in her new role.
